Are you heat wave ready? Soup doesn't have to be reserved for the frosty days - here are some fab frosty soup recipes to keep you chill this summer.

Cherry Gazpacho

Mostly sweet with subtle savory undertones, this refreshing cherry gazpacho is a great introduction to the world of chilled soups. The end result is a bright and citrus-y blend of cherries, orange and lemon juice, garlic, shallot and mint that's bound to draw admirers at your next outdoor get-together.

Chilled Persian Yogurt Soup

Food & Wine staffers are crazy about this exotic soup, which incorporates Greek yogurt, nuts and raisins with refreshing mint and dill. Serve with grilled pita bread and garnish with fresh rose petals for a dish that will romance the senses and transport you to a faraway land by the sea.

Avocado Vichyssoise

We're paying homage to our design headquarters in Southern California with a lovely avocado vichyssoise. This simple recipe requires just five ingredients, and with a prep time of 20 minutes, it won't be long before you're treated to a little taste of the best coast.

Raw Sweet Corn and Cashew Chowder

If you're looking for something super-fresh and a bit more filling, give this raw chowder a try. Crisp sweet corn pureed with decadent cashews make for a hearty meal that nourishes the body after a long day of gardening or sunning by the pool.

Chilled Cucumber Soup with Farm Fresh Herbs

Cucumbers combine with Greek yogurt and lemon juice in a refreshing twist on the tried-and-true Polish recipe. This variation enlists the help of cloves, olive oil and red pepper to give the traditional summer favorite a little extra oomph. Serve as an appetizer on a sweltering day for some delicious relief.
